Building Relationships First
At Homes by Donahoo, Inc., we feel that it is crucial for the
customer to begin meeting with the builder as early as possible
- even prior to having a full set of plans or selecting a site.
Many elements determine the overall cost of a project--especially
in the Hill Country area where the slope of the lot can drastically
affect foundation costs. If the home requires a septic system,
this should be addressed before purchase to be sure one can be
approved for installation by the proper authorities. We do not
charge for this service.
The Home of Your Dreams-and Within Your Budget
We prefer that our clients give us a budget range, as we can make
suggestions in the plan stage to help them & their architect
stay within that budget. Normally, we meet with all parties after
a preliminary plan has been drawn to determine if everyone is
still on track, and to share any observations we feel could be
helpful.
The Features You Want-The Pricing You Deserve
All clients are given a list of approved vendors and suppliers
early in the process (long before a contract is signed). This
allows them to make selections using our builder's discounts and
helps the architect to know how generous to make the different
allowances (such as appliances, lighting, plumbing fixtures).
Design Your Home With Us, or Bring Your Finished Plans
In addition to working with clients beginning with lot selection,
we also have plans submitted to us by our customers that are already
complete. Usually our company has been recommended to the clients
by the architect or by a satisfied previous homeowner.
Open Communication Means Satisfied Clients
Once we have a bid completed, we meet with all parties to discuss
price. Our work sheet contains over 60 items, each of which is
discussed. All bids & estimates are disclosed so the potential
homeowner knows exactly where his costs are.
